Celebrating a Milestone: Ronald Farren-Price AM at 90
Earlier this month the Centre was delighted to share in the birthday celebrations for one of our dearest friends: pianist, teacher, regular concert-goer, and Melbourne Recital Centre Life Member Professor Ronald Farren-Price AM.
Associate Professor Farren-Price, an Honorary Principle Fellow at the Melbourne Conservatorium of Music, and former University of Melbourne Faculty of Music Dean (1986–1990) and Head of Keyboard, is an enduring figure in the musical landscape.
Ronald turned 90 on 2 July, an occasion that was celebrated by a host of Australian and international musicians via a Zoom call. The virtual party hosted by our friends, the Melbourne Conservatorium of Music, included a fabulous tribute by MRC Artist and Writer in Residence pianist Anna Goldsworthy, a former pupil of Ronald’s.
